On this page you will not only learn where to buy hp tablet but also a summary of the experts’ hp touchpad reviews. I have made my own research to find out what the experts are saying about hp touchpad and put the main points in one review here on this page.

First of all as many people like videos reviews much more than written reviews, simply because they want to see the product and get a feel of it and how it works, I made a search for hp touchpad video review and I found a good one from a real user who seems to be an expert in computers. So enjoy watching the video:

So What Experts Say About hp Touchpad?

Generally as mentioned in the above video it is not the best tablet in the world but it has good features that makes many people think of buying it considering its lower price than the other tablets as its price now is only $220 comparing to the Apple’s iPad that ranges from $500 to $790.

Hp TochPad Design Is One Of The Cons Of This Tablet:

This might be one of the obvious cons of the TouchPad, it has a plastic feel and thicker than other tablets. The TouchPad came in nearly the same dimensions of the old iPad but with a plastic back which has a totally different feel than the aluminum back of the iPad. It thicker than the other tablets which in my opinion is not a big problem as some people like the feel of thick devices which may give them better holding of the device.

Specifications Of The TouchPad:

Seems that experts are satisfied with the quality of the audio, this might be a good thing if you listen to music too much. The speed of the TouchPad is also one of the good things as it runs quite fast with no problems thanks to the dual-core Snapdragon (the APQ8060). It comes with 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of flash storage, and a Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n radio. It has also the basic specifications that you can find in most phones, laptops and tablets like the 1.3 pixels webcam and Bluetooth.

The quality of the screen (LED-backlit LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 768 x 1024 pixels, 9.7 inches (~132 ppi pixel density)) the colors, brightness and clarity is very good comparing to the iPad 2 screen. Viewing angles also comparable between the TouPad screen and the iPad 2 screen.

The speakers impress, even when you put the TouchPad flat on the desk the sound still clear. Using it for phone or skype calls is a good experience as well. Although the sound may get muffled when holding the device in portrait still the sound of this device is one of its pros.

Battery Life:

Battery life seems outstanding on TouchPad according to experts. According to hp battery life capable of 8 hours of web browsing, 9 hours of video playback, and 3.4 days of audio playback, and this seems right according experts who reviewed the TouchPad.

Here is a comparison of battery life in TouchPad, iPad and other devices:

HP TouchPad: 8:33
Apple iPad 2: 10:26
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: 9:55
Apple iPad: 9:33
Motorola Xoom: 8:20
T-Mobile G-Slate: 8:18
Archos 101: 7:20
RIM BlackBerry PlayBook: 7:01
Samsung Galaxy Tab: 6:09
Dell Streak 7: 3:26

The above estimates are tested by Tim Stevens from EngadGet.com

Software Experience On The TouchPad:

Generally it seems that experts like the webOS 3.0 which is the OS of the TouchPad. Hp TouchPad is the first hp device to run on webOS 3.0, this is a version of the webOS but this time is tablet friendly not for mobile phones. You will have fun navigating the apps, it is a good feeling to throw away the apps that you no longer want and it will close.

The bad thing about apps is that touchpad don’t have a lot of apps that you can use at least till now, this problem should be solved by time, comparing to the half million apps that you can use with iPad this is one of the cons of the TouchPad. But for many people they don’t use apps too much so they don’t care if there are 5oo or 5oo thousand apps on their tablet.

Camera:

The hp TouchPad comes with a 1.3 pixels camera on the front. It is not important to have a good quality camera on your tablet as it is rare that you will hold your device to take a picture of something. But of course it is important if you want to video chat. The TouchPad comes with a built in skype so you can use your 1.3 camera to skype your friends. Experts who tested this device found that the camera is good when it comes to video chating.

Wrap Up:

Ya it is not the best tablet in the market especially if we compared it with the iPad 2 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 especially when it comes to the quality of the hardware and the OS which is still have some bugs. But it worth trying, considering its clear display, outstanding speakers and the ability to pair it with phones this tablet worth another look. Also the cheaper price than other tablet may give a great option for those who can’t afford the iPad or other expensive tablets.
